                           SEPTEMBER GUIDANCE NEWS

It is great to be back for another exciting school year.  The month of September is usually all about firsts and reminders.  Some of our students are Bethel Bears for the very first time and they need to learn the rules of our school.  Some of our Bethel Bears are returning for another year, and although they already learned the rules of our school, they may need some reminders to help them remember the rules of our school.

During the month of September my guidance lessons for K-4 are all about manners.  Specifically what is expected behaviorally from each student in the hallway, classroom, home, cafeteria, and out at recess. 

The guidance lesson for our fifth grade students is about goals: What are their personal goals for the upcoming year and how do they plan on achieving these goals.

Last but not least I will go over the Bethel Character Trait of the Month with all of our students.  Each month a student is chosen by their teacher and peers as having the personal quality of the particular character trait of that month.  I will teach every child what each character trait means and how they can achieve being chosen as a student who represents the Character Trait of the Month.
